Rainforest Immersion Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellation & Refund Policy:
We understand that committing to an international immersion is a meaningful decision, and we ask all participants to carefully review the following cancellation terms before registering.
Cancellation by Participant:
Because this Immersion program requires significant upfront, non-refundable expenses (including boat hire, accommodations, local guides, and preparation of materials), we are unable to offer full refunds.
- Cancellations made 30 days or more before the start date, until April 13th, of the Immersion program are eligible for a partial refund of 75%, minus a 25% registration fee.
- Cancellations made less than 30 days before the start date, from April 13th, are non-refundable.
- We are unable to make exceptions for personal circumstances, travel delays, illness, or scheduling conflicts.
*Provided notice to email: amazonianflowerspdx@gmail.com
*We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical needs, and travel disruptions.
Cancellation by the Organizers:
This immersion requires a minimum number of participants to proceed responsibly and sustainably.
- If the Immersion program is canceled by the organizers due to insufficient enrollment, all participants will receive a full refund of tuition paid. We will notify participants of this decision no later than March 13th, and we strongly suggest waiting to purchase airfare or make other non-refundable travel arrangements until after that time.
- If cancellation is required due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (such as extreme weather, safety concerns, or local conditions), we will communicate as early as possible and outline next steps, which may include partial refunds or credit toward a future immersion.
*Note: We encourage all interested individuals to confirm their enrollment as soon as possible. This helps us ensure that we have the minimum number of participants required and allows us to send the confirmation notification to the entire group at the beginning of March or even earlier. It gives everyone time to organize and purchase airline tickets and enables our organization to finalize all logistical arrangements with the forest communities. By doing so, we all contribute to making this beautiful and profound Immersion program in the Amazon rainforest a reality.
By purchasing the Immersion program, participants acknowledge and accept these terms and understand that international, land-based work involves shared risk and collective responsibility.
